We have partnered with Earth First Food, a licensed mobile abattoir, to ensure humane on-farm harvesting for our custom meat orders on an order-only basis. Once we receive enough orders, the beef will be selected and harvested.
After processing, your grass-fed beef is sent to an approved butcher – either in Whangarei or Auckland – where it is expertly cut and packed to your specifications. Each carcass is hung and aged for around 10 days to enhance the flavour and tenderness before collection.

Pricing:
Carcass price: $15/kg (incl. GST) – based on the hanging weight sent to the butcher. Carcass weights are around 250-330kg for a whole animal, or 125-165kg for a half. Please note this weight varies depending on the animal selected at the time.
Butchering fee: This varies depending on the butcher; however, you can expect to pay around $2/kg – additional charges apply for sausages, rolled roasts, and specialty cuts. Please refer to the butcher’s latest cut sheet/price list for more information.
You can customise your order by choosing from the approved butcher’s cut sheet to get your preferred cuts and packaging.

A $500 deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the remaining balance of the carcass due on the day of processing, when the weights are recorded.
Payment for the butchering service is made directly to the butcher prior to or on collection of your order.
